| Day 1 § Machalilla National Park | You will be transferred to the airport for a flight from Quito or Guayaquil to Manta or Portoviejo. On arrival you will depart by bus to Machalilla National Park. On the way, stop to visit Montecristi village, famous panama hat manufacturers. Arrive at your accommodations at Mantaraya Lodge. In the afternoon, visit to the Salango Museum, which is devoted to Pre-Colombian artifacts. Return to the hotel for the evening trip briefing and dinner. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean, beautiful Mantaraya Lodge is the premier place to stay in Puerto Lopez. Savor fresh seafood prepared by their fine chef. | | Day 2 - 3 § Machalilla National Park & Isla de la Plata | Visit the enchanted Isla de la Plata on a boat excursion. Here, walk on the trails and enjoy swimming and snorkeling. Isla de la Plata is home to some rare bird species, which are only found on Isla de la Plata and on the Galápagos. These avian species include blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, and frigate birds. You can also visit the archaeological Museum in Agua Blanca, or enjoy a trip to Los Frailes, a beautiful stretch of pristine beach where you can enjoy snorkeling. (B,L,D)
