We are pleased to announce the continuing special partnership between award-winning ecotravel company JOURNEYS International and professional photographer and teacher Wayde Carroll www.waydecarrollphotography.com
Here is a unique opportunity for passionate amateur photographers to experience the best of Costa RIca and to learn everything there is to learn about their cameras on a trip that avoids the serious and singular focus of most conventional photo tours. This 9-day traveling photography workshop presents four contrasting environments -- the cloud forest of San Ramon, the lush highlands of Arenal Volcano, the jungle lowland of Sarapiqui and the waterways of the famous Tortuguero National Park on the Carribean coast. In the company of expert professional naturalists, Wayde will lead the group to the most select viewpoints in varying light conditions to capture the magnificent scenery and tropical wildlife in their most dramatic splendor. There will also be oppportunties to photograph local life in the colonial town of San Ramon and in the Caribbean town of Tortuguero. You can also put down your camera -- or not -- while you zip across the rain forest canopy, soak in thermal hot springs, and do some whitewater rafting. (Adventure activities are optional.)
Wayde will begin his mentoring of participants at the time of sign-up, offering consultation on camera equipment and trip preparation. Throughout the trip, Wayde will work with each traveler individually to maximize the potential of each camera in the field. He will also offer evening presentations, and ongoing critiques.
Enjoy four charming lodges in beautiful settings, expert commentary on Costa RIca's unique biodiversity, and a friendly, relaxing overall experience with Wayde. You'll find that Wayde is a superb photographer AND teacher, and that he loves what he does. You'll be in most amiable, knowledgeable company!
The trip cost includes all guiding, photography mentoring, accommodations, all entrance fees and many activity fees, transportation in Costa Rica (international airfare is extra) and almost all meals.
